I recently applied for DLA and had my claim rejected I'm really gutted about this as Endo has totally affected my everyday life. If any of you have any advice on this matter I would be so happy to hear as I'm going to still Persue this and go against the decision.
Thanks

Im going to be applying for a disability component in my student funding so im not looking forward to having to prove how ill i am but from friends and relatives I've heard most are rejected on 1st application and you need to appeal on appeal most succeed almost as though they want to see how much you really want it be careful not to be too proud you need to be as honest as possible pride isn't helpful when your asking for help good luck and keep your head up try not to take it personally and remember sometimes these things have hiden red tape appeal appeal appeal xxxxxxx
It was a horrible application to fill in to be honest, it's hard enough what we go through let alone trying to prove it to anyone! I wish you all the best for your student funding. Will keep you posted x x
Im a nurse and used the form many times for my patients and got them top rates.
Its horrible to do but fill it in as if on your worst days and write on Worst days it will be like.
Dont be scared to add bits in and write all over it.
The people who read them aren't medical experts so you have to explain things in quite graphic detail so they understand.
Dont forget to add things in that you have done to adapt your life like some days i cang manage to drive to work becuase fatigue or pain so bad i have to take the bus.
Thanks for your reply, I tried to be graphic and put as much info down as possible but my application still got rejected, I haven't received my letter as to why yet, I happen to ring them to let them know about an incident that happened 2 days ago and was informed that my claim was rejected. I'm defo going to appeal.
On Monday as I was driving which I have been unable to do for a few months (I had my dissertation to hand in and no one could take me to Uni) so I had to drive I was on the M25 motorway and had a massive pain attack from my thigh down to my ankle and almost swerved into another lane, so I stopped on hand shoulder and called an ambulance, would this be more information I give them to re consider their silly decision or appeal straight away as now my symptoms have got worse?
i have been rejected twice because of my disability which i am deaf... but i am not going to try again as given up... that money could have help me as i earning one wage as i have billed and house to pay.. .petrol, etc... so dont give up and try and get someone to write it for you and it is easier... or get doctor approval if you are really that severe pain... cant do anything and you need help for you... that the only option i can think of..
Hey, I know it was quite some time ago now but I've just been diagnosed with endometriosis and I was working part time through uni. However due to pain during my second interview I wasn't kept on as a permanent member of staff and I'm worried about money and being able to work. Really I just want to know if your application was ever accepted?
Keep pushin it I met a lady who had been through the laposcapy 11 times to have endo removed and she helped fight for it to fall under the disability act. As far as I'm aware the can not turn you down as the pain means you physically can't work and you are entitled to claim. I hope you get it soon
