Hi ladies...nothing to do with endo but I'm at a loss as to what it is lol all my nails have white smudges all over them does anyone know what causes it? Both hands are like it Thanks Jo

If it was just one or two nails I'd be inclined to say it's probably damage to nail bed and probably knocked at work or doing housework, because it's on all your nails. I'd go see a Dr you could be deficient in something or they can check other things. I'm a big believer in our bodies giving us signs when something isn't right internally this may be one of them. Take a trip to your gp see what they say, let me know how you get on.

This could be iron deficiency. My nails were the same, started to lift a bit, on toes as well, with indents in the nail, found out I was anaemic for near on a year 😳

I've had this my whole life and nothing has ever been found to cause it as everything they've tried still caused them. I guess if they've come on suddenly it might be caused by something but most likely just damage or natural x

Just a thought - nail problems can be linked to celiac disease. Worth testing for maybe?

I always thought it was a sign of calcium deficiency, but I could be wrong!
