My gynocologist thinks that I may have endometriosis, but before she confirms she wants to try Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. Has anyone heard or gone through it before?

Pelvic Floor Therapy
Hey Hun my gynaecology contacted my Doctors last week and told them they think I’ve got endometriosis, I’ve never hear of the physical thearpy have you look it up on Google?zx
What are your symptoms? I have had pelvic floor physiotherapist- I have bowel symptoms and it was pre-diagnosis. I was sent by a gastroenterologist, I’m not sure if it helped- I became more aware of my muscles and helps with mindfulness (I have some urgency issues).
Hi I have endo, had 4 laps and my consultant atm says manage the symptoms so I don’t have another lap. I had pelvic floor Physio therapy and my first reaction was - you can get internal Physio? However once past that surprise it has worked wonders and I wondered why no one told me about it sooner. To manage your expectations, it only helped relive my pain to a point. It really helped with the dull back ache I get and to a certain point with the stabbing pain I get in my abdomen. Turns out my pelvic floor was in permanent contraction with blood supply not working properly in it.
It will depend on what causes your problems but I would say give it at least 3 sessions, it is definitely worth trying. Word of warning, I was very sore (putting it mildly) after my first couple of sessions for around 32 hours afterwards. So don’t be surprised if you are sore afterwards. They also teach you how to relax the spasm yourself which I also find useful.
I know a good therapist in south London/ Surrey area if you need a recommendation.
I hope it helps for you as well!
Please can you give me the name of the therapist? Many thanks.

Hiya, I've just started physical therapy! I'd never heard of it either - I was a bit like, "so... she's a vagina physiotherapist?" The woman I'm seeing is fantastic, really warm and friendly (North London hospital, if you want the exact name message me) and we've been doing some "vulval massage", foam rolling on my stomach, breathing exercises etc. It's only been a month, so I haven't noticed a change yet, but I'm optimistic!
I have prolapse. I am going to physical therapy. My biggest problem is relaxing the muscle. Every time I go to do the exercises, my lower back hurts for a couple of days. I think it's my adeno. making my back hurt more. I am hopeful after surgery and doing physical therapy it will have paid off. Be positive that therapy you will find some relief.
