Lap scar pain

Hi ladies,

I had my first lap at the beginning of sept last year and every so often my scars get really itchy and sore. Does anyone else get this?

Is it normal? Should I mention it to my gp?

Any advice would be appreciated

I had key hole surgery 3 years ago and had the same thing with my scars. I asked my brother in law (who's a doctor) and he said it's normal to get itchy scars now and then because the body is still healing (I was scratching my scars and making them sore). Now they don't feel itchy at all. If you're worried and think there's a possibility of infection see your GP, better to have peace of mind.
