I'm 6 weeks post hysterectomy and endometriosis excision, have been left ovaries though, and I've been experiencing a lot of pain all throughout my abdomen for the last 2 days. I had been fine up to this point with my recovery and I don't know what could be causing it. I haven't had my follow up with gynaecologist yet and I don't want to go to the doctor's but paracetamol and ibuprofen are doing nothing for the pain. It seems to be more concentrated in my bladder area and further up where I think my stomach should be. Any advice?

Hi, I’m sorry but I have no answers for your pain question and I do hope it gets sorted very soon. I have got to have the same operation as you in a few months time but they have put me on an injection called Zoladex for 3 months to stop my periods until the op and to help any further endo forming. We’re you offered or given this please and if so how was it? J x
Thanks for replying. No I wasn't offered zoladex. I had been Esmya for 3 months prior to surgery but that was to try to shrink fibroids to make the surgery easier and to avoid having a laparotomy. I still have my ovaries so not experiencing menopause just yet which I think is what zoladex does (chemically induced menopause). Are you having ovaries removed?
I had similar op in July, you might be over doing it- 6 weeks isn't long. Big hugs xxxx
