Obturator Nerve endometriosis

Hi! Does anyone have any experience of endometriosis occurring on or around the obturator nerve? My MRI has come back with this as a possibility and I'm two weeks away from surgery. This will be my 4th op and the pain in my legs, glutes, pelvis and hips has been unbearable getting progressively worse each month. There doesn't seem to be much written about endo in the area and would love to hear from anyone who has had a similar issue as apparently they can't operate on the nerve meaning the endometriosis will be left behind.... thank you ;)

Hi laf1977, I can't help with personal experience but there's a Facebook site call endometropolis, they have surgeons contributing and answering questions. Maybe someone there would know. Good luck

Hi laf1977

How did they diagnose this and how has your op gone? I was diagnosed with endo whilst suffering debilitating lower back/flute/saddle pain and sciatica and when the lap didn’t improve it, had an mri that detected a cyst in my Quadratus Femoris muscle. I had it removed but it keeps growing back and my symptoms have returned with it, worsening significantly around my period, so now I feel my endo is growing back too. Would really like to know how you got on with this.

Hi - I'm so sorry for the delay! Unfortunately I don't have any more clarity on my nerve pain. An MRI 'suggested' that the obturator nerve was involved but after surgery my surgeon said it wasn't. Two months post op I still have the same nerve pain, not everyday, like I had before the op, but I've had it for around the last 10 days constantly.

But thanks so much for your message. I am continuing to push for answers and I'm pretty certain there is something else is going on. So many people with endo suffer with nerve related pain but there are never any answers on why.
