Hi all, finally had my follow up after my lap 6 weeks ago. So definite endometriosis which I knew. Been told they would like me to start monthly Prostap (?) Injections for 6 months with HRT. Just wondering what to expect and others experiences. Thanks xxx

Hi sorry you’re not well and need this it’s awful r bodies 🤦‍♀️Anyway yes I’ve been on prostrap a year now every 3 months and I swear by it if you read my other posts you will see all about it

It’s a life saver for me I take that and boots menoupause with botanical tablets 2 a night and I feel so so much better

The depo(prostrap) takes roughly 3 months to kick in and the bleeding is hectic for the first 10-12 days but then eases of and no more periods I’ve lost weight and got my mojo back and it’s great (up to now I would recommend this injection 10xover

Take care read my other posts on it and a lot of ladies take it

They say only for 3 months but I’ve been a year

X

Hi,

Have read your other posts about the injections. Thanks for the info. Do you know anything about how suitable they are for someone like myself, 34 and wanting to have a baby asap. Due to have lap anytime and the injections have been mentioned but unsure. Can they damage my fertility further? Lap will also tell me if any damage yet. Thanks so much x

Hi Hun, my daughter in law been on it for 9 years she is 29 now and stopped to have the Second one 6 yrs ago it did admitingly take a tad longer to fall pregnant as you’re body has to re adjust all the hormones etc

But she did fall pregnant after 8 months and now lily has just had her birthday in October and is 100% well and fit so it’s dont cause any issues tbh...

Maybe discus it with you’re GO or nurse as well as everyone is different to things but I feel it’s a good choice to stop the pains the clots the bleeding and the stress of every month this pain is due (for me I was on a 10 month solid period) but I’m 49 so as we get older it gets worse🙄

Good luck with it all and if you need to no anything else just ask

Take care xxx

Consultant mentioned injections that would bring on menopause so I'm guessing will be same thing for me as for you..i am 34 with no children and was trying to conceive so I'm very unsure of taking these injections..i need to find out more also x

Hi. I'm on the monthly injections for 6 months without hrt and it's been brilliant! I have stage 4 deep infiltrated endometriosis with a full frozen pelvis and it's given us our life back, I've had a few hot flushes but for me it's been briliant. I'm 35 and we are wanting to try for a second child, the specialist said the injections will allow my body to heal from the surgery I had in May. We are at the initial stages of ivf and been told that the prostap will be fine. Good luck with it xx

Thanks everyone. There are so many horror stories (I always take them with a pinch of salt) it's nice to see it has helped people.

I'm in so much pain in my pelvis and back i am willing to try anything at the minute x
