Hey everyone,

Hope you are all as well as can be!

I’m almost 4 weeks post op after laparoscopy!

After being diagnosed with Endo, my GP has prescribed me Cilest. I’ve been taking this for two weeks.

I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience of this in regards to treating pain? As im anxious about my first period.

Also, I have been so so hungry since taking it! Like a 24/7 hunger, is this related to cilest?

Any advice would be appreciated!!

I am a little surprised you have been given a combined pill. I am not an expert, but I have been given progesterone only pill after Lap and diagnosis of endo. I have had my endo removed from my naval and didn't have any in my abdomen area, luckily!

I thought they liked NOT to give you anymore estrogen type hormones as endo loves estrogen? Perhaps there is a reason?

More experienced ladies replies, needed LOL

Best wishes

I thought so!!

I did express this to my GP, however he said this would be best.

I think I’ll definitely make another appointment to express my concerns about this, and hopefully will get another pill.

I have heard cerazette is often used with endo patients, so maybe I’ll suggest this!

Thank you xx

Do you still have your womb, ovaries, etc? That might be why, if you haven't?

But, yes, do ask why you are being given an estrogen type medication.

Having said that, I am not deleriously happy with Cerazette, I am spotting or bleeding nearly 3 weeks out of 4 and my heavy days are still heavy, so I am going to give it 6 months in total, then reassess.

Good luck :-)

Yes I still have them all. So really can’t understand why!

I was on cerazette about a year ago and I was the same, I’m hoping now they’ve managed to remove some adhesions I might see a different but I’m doubtful.

So sorry to read you’re not getting on very well with it. I wish you all the best, and fingers crossed things start to settle down!

Xx
