So, I had my laparoscopy on Friday just gone and I am recovering. The pain is worse than I thought it would be but it is getting better.
When I came back from theatre my consultant came do speak to me, bearing in mind I was still highly dosed up! All she said was that she had found endometriosis, im 90% sure she said it was on my pelvic wall and that she had treated it. She then said goodbye and told me to rest. Unknown to me I wouldn't be seeing her again until my follow up which was booked in for 4 months! The nurse agreed with me that this was too long so said she will arrange it for 4-6 weeks.
Overall I feel I have no answers or understanding of what was found or how it was treated and I'm also wondering what do I do now? Does this mean endo has gone or do I keep soldiering on with it? I have so many questions and I feel in the dark about it all!
I am also expecting my first period after my Lap any time now so I'm not looking forward to that.
Sorry for the big rant!

Hi 4-6 months wait is ridiculous!! Definitely needs to be brought forward. I just had my lap Wednesday gone. I started my period yesterday and sorry to be bearer of bad news but it was the same 😩 no change but I have been told you shouldn't really count the first 2 periods after your lap so il will just have to wait and see!
Wait until your appointment to get all the info about the endo and then decide what to do. I'm sure she will go through what happens next, how to deal with it etc. I'm still waiting to see mine after my lap too x
I have my laparoscopy on the 30th of this month. Have read on here people can wait months for answers so have a list of questions. Hope they can be answered before i leave or within 2 weeks of op 😣
Yeah get hold of the consultant surgeon's secretary is a good move. They forgot about me after my laproscopy ("sorry we don't have any record of your surgery") but once I got hold of the secretary, she was great. Also if I speak to anyone else I mention his name and hers and they hop to it!
