Follow up letter

Hi ladies,

I recently had a lap to remove a cyst on my right ovary. Whilst they were in there they confirmed i have endo and removed as much as they could.

The consultant spoke to me just as I was coming round after the op but I have very little memory of this. I do recall her saying that I would be sent a letter detailing what was found and done during the procedure. So far I have heard nothing from them and my op was just over 3 weeks ago.

How long did any of you have to wait for a follow up letter?

I think it can take a month or so but it’s worth giving the consultants secretary a call to check if it’s been sent. With one of my laps it was only sent to me and not the GP so I had to call to ask for a copy xxx

Thanks for the reply Janine33. I've checked with the gp and they haven't heard anything either.

Just annoying not knowing how much was found and where exactly. Will try giving them a call x

It depends on how good the consultant is with his paper work. I got a PDF via email the day after ! Maybe give the consultant PA a ring to see when it will be send to you and GP.

Thanks Stellauk, they did originally say I'd have it within 2 weeks.
