Post diagnostic laparoscopy

Hi. I'm 3 days post laparoscopy and feeling very emotional. I didn't expect to feel so wiped out by the procedure, and especially because they weren't able to remove any of my endo adhesions. I have just been diagnosed with endo of the bowel and both ovaries. I suspected this, but it has still come as a severe blow. I'm 40 this year and have secondary infertility. It looks like I may be out of luck for a second baby as I will have to have more surgery to try to separate my uterus from bowel. :-( My preferred approach is natural medicine so any pointers are very welcome. I'm looking for support from people in similar place or beyond it. Really need some uplifting!!

I had my first lap done last month. I'll be real with you- it took me almost 3 weeks to feel well again. I did have a fair amount of endo removed though. At 3 days post op you'll still have a lot of anaesthetic in your system, so you'll feel emotional and possibly light headed for a week or two yet. Just rest as much as you can.

I'm 30 with secondary infertility. So I know how you're feeling. Things are still very fresh for you. Give your body and mind time to heal.

Thank you for your reply. I left my old job partly cos employer was unsupportive with my need for time off and working from home when bad symptoms. I start new job on 5th and really hope I can start in a good place.

That's great they were able to remove tissue for you. My mistake was waiting so long to have the surgery. I've suspected this for many years. Good luck with your recovery, and you have plenty more baby years waiting for you when u are well again. Xx
