Hi everyone,

I am so confused, I am currently being investigated for endometriosis for a number of reasons, symptoms are heavy, painful, prolonged periods sometimes lasting 2 + weeks, pain during and after sex, bleeding after sex, severe bloating, rectal pain and bleeding, lower abdominal pain most days, lower back pain all the time, sometimes unbearable, pain in lower left side.

I have had a number of tests recently including, hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy (clear) colposcopy and biopsy (small changes) colonoscopy (looked clear) ct scan, I have been told I have the following and wondering if it's all connected or separate issues and if it could be endo or something else, I have been told I have PCOS, ectropian of the cervix and on a ct scan recently they have found I have an underfilled bladder and sub 4mm nodule on lung bases, I am booked to see consultant Monday to discuss the results of ct scan but I am freaking out a little :( x

I have never heard of underfilled bladder and also don't have problems with lungs so no idea what this nodule is.

Any advice or anybody had similar? Xx

Hi, it sounds like you've had every investigation except a laparoscopy, which is what you need to diagnose endo. What kind of consultant are you seeing onMonday?

It's the colonoscopy consultant who ordered the ct scan that I am seeing on Monday and then I have an appointment on 1st Aug with endometriosis specialist so hopefully will get somewhere, I am just so fed up of all these different test and getting no answers yet they are finding things but not saying what is causing them x it's driving me mad xx

Good to hear that you have an appointment coming up with an endo specialist. Hopefully you will begin to get some answers.

I had and maybe still have an under filled bladder, with Urine backing up into my kidney. They thought it was because I had a 10cm cyst that was possibly pressing on the bladder causing restrictions/ blockage . They are hoping that the surgery to remove the cyst will resolve this. However, when they opened me up they found endo on my kidney, so I have to wait a couple of months to see if it was the cyst or the Endo causing the bladder problem. They also found a tumour on my liver while scanning, but this is none harmful apparently and eostrogen dominance can cause this. Easier said than done, but try not to worry, until they explore further they won't know for certain x

Oh no... thank you so much for your reply, I can't wait to find out what is actually going on because it just seems like one thing after another at the moment with no explanation as to what is causing it xx hope you are ok and your next surgery goes well xx
