My daughter is undergoing cystectomy by laparoscopic surgery within a week but her menstural periods starts within this period can surgery be carried or measures should be taken to postpone periods ?

Are they operating in her uterus because in that case definatly not. But if its outside you maybe okay. I know Muslim ladies can get kill delay tablets for haj but I'd be wary of using such disruptive hormones if an endo sufferer.

I had a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy October last year and on my admit letter it said to not cancel surgery for a period as it didn't matter. Also I had the same surgery as your daughter 4 weeks ago and the letter I got before that surgery said exactly the same, that a period doesn't make a difference. If you are unsure and can call the hospital, they should be able to tell you either way. Hope this helps x
