Endo and autoimmune disease

Hello All,

I have stage 4 Endo, which is effecting my bowel, I have also previously had two seperate autoimmune diseases and I am wondering if any of you have suffered or do suffer with Endo and autoimmune disease?

Also if you have any info on prevention of further autoimmune issues?

I've suffered with Crohn's disease for ten years and I'm currently trying to get diagnosed with possible endometriosis.

I hope you get a clear diagnosis, are you seeing a specialist?

Thank you. I have seen a gynae and waiting for a laproscopy now, but to be honest the doctor I saw was rubbish and told me it was in my head! I had to really really push!

Yes, I have lupus and recently confirmed endometriosis. Unfortunately I don't think there is any way of preventing other autoimmune diseases occurring. If you are one of the unlucky ones to have an immune system that attacks itself only treatment with heavy duty drugs will manage that. However, keeping yourself as healthy as possible with good diet,exercise etc is a starting point.
