My GP has suggested a trial of gabapentin for stabbing pains from adhesions. Has anyone tried it? Did it help?

Thanks

With Gabapentin you have to take it regularly every day for it to work. It's not like a normal painkiller that you just take when you need it. I found it helped a bit but it made me really hungry and I piled on the pounds very quickly!

Thanks, that's helpful. I shall keep on eye on how it affects my appetite.

Ooooh I've never heard of that? Have you tried it? Did it help? I suffer with pains from adhesions but also diagnosed with endometriosis 2 years ago. I hate my life I just want to be pain free xx

Hi, I'm still titrating the dose up to the recommended level, but I think it's starting to help. It's for the stabbing pain, which I think is 'nerve pain' (as opposed to cramps).

I don't think I'd benefit from it then xx
