Hi everyone I had endometriosis surgury on Wednesday had a lot of it removed and cut away still in pain off gas and can move a lot am I ok to have a bath can anyone help me as I ain't had much after care

Hi Emma, mine was last Friday and over the last 2 days the pain from the gas has pretty much gone. Just try and ride it out with lots of peppermint tea, maybe a hot water bottle for shoulders. Mine was all under my ribs as well and popped them out when I tried to lie down. When I first had surgery for endo they said not to get wounds wet for a while but this time they said showers ok. Using a 0% soap shower gel. Do you have stitches or glue? It will get better, good luck xxx

I have dissolvable stitches feel really tight in my belly button and in my chest just don't have a shower only a bath

For the gas pain I used deflatine. It's made by Rennie and it comes in a yellow box. You can buy it over the counter. It worked a treat on me....although you will fart like never before it's worth not being I pain!!! Xx

I remember having a shower and patting the wounds dry with a clean tissue. I don't think I would have been comfortable getting out of a bath. Wound needs to dry out, I wouldn't think having a bath is a good idea. Take care
