Feeling sick 3 weeks post op

Hi ladies,

I'm really worried! I had a total peritoneal excision 3 and a half weeks ago and felt absolutely fine until 9 days ago when I started to feel nauseous every day all day!

I have no idea what is going on at all. I had slept with my partner about 10 days ago but surely you can't feel sick a day after conceiving if it is pregnancy related?!

I've tried to relax thinking I was doing too much, I've stopped gluten and dairy. I'm going mad! I'm thinking maybe it's related to hormones after the op? Has anyone else had anything like this? My consultant just told me to go to the gp which is helpful since I can't get in for 6 weeks.

Any help would be appreciated!

I'd want to be screened to have reassurance there was no infection if I were you for peace of mind. Do you have any emergency appointments or a walk in center? Otherwise is it possible that having sex has created pain which translates to nausea? Your insides have been through a lot, it can take 12 weeks or more to heal internally.

Not what you're looking for?
