Hi ladies,

Can exercise effect endo and make it worse? I work out quite regularly doing HITT classes and pain wise I'm not sure whether it'll benefit me?

I have just had my endo removed (TPE). Not allowed to go back to the gym yet as I also had hysterectomy at the same tim, all keyhole. Before the op I would go to the gym about 5 times a week, I do a lot of HIIT training as well as spin, body combat and body attack. Usually do between 90 mins and 2 hours at a time. I found that sometimes I would get period pains when not on period, also back ache on my right hand side always towards the end if my eorkout. The exercise definitely did not make the pain worse but I did suffer with fatigue most days regardless of whether or not I had exercised.

Exercise will ultimately help endometriosis! It however may not help adhesions. Endo is estrogen dominance. Fat cells can and do produce estrogen. So by working out you are helping level your hormones. It wont in anyway cure you, but it has health benefits. If certain exercises do make you worse try others! But becoming a couch potato wont help either!
