Finally plucked up courage to go back to the doctors after my last visit in March was so unhelpful and the doctor so dismissive. Had pretty much continuous right hand side back and hip pain since then... Its a massive change from the endometriosis pain I was experiencing up to 6 months ago but the doctor refused to investigate it and was rude and dismissive. Since then I reported to getting Naproxen from push Doctor to manage the pain which spreads across my right side, across my bum, into my rectum and down my leg. It gets worse with my cycle which is why I'm convinced it's related to endometriosis. However, because the pain is continuous, im also worried it could be something more serious. Got to wait until June 12th for my appointment! Fingers crossed I get some answers this time.

Plucked up courage to go back to the doctors...
Fingers crossed they are more helpfuł this time and you get a referral x
When you go to the Drs dont tell them whats wrong and certainly dont demand anything. Referral, ultrasound, nothing. Sit across from them and just explain. Nothing more. Let them think. If they hand you a prescription, take it. Give it 2 weeks, make another appointment, go back and say its not working. If she refers for more tests great, if not repeat. You have to play Drs at their own game. With funds low they need to know youre serious before the pay out on extensive tests/examinations/referals ect. Believe me, i know you want to get mad, but dont!
Good luck. Xx
Its hard to play the doctors at their own game when you can't get appointments around work commitments. I'm a primary teacher. I end up leaving things far too long.
I know its difficult .. Our practice offer weekend appointments but most do evenings .. I know, its a days job just to get an appointment! But believe me seeing a specialist is no different because they triple book! Have you discussed it with work? Even undiagnosed you still have something!
The endometriosis has been diagnosed.. I had a lap (which went wrong) 7 yrs ago now and was diagnosed with moderate to severe endo. Had manageable pain since then.. I'm just concerned because the type and intensity of pain had changed. I accepted the doctors view it was unrelated in March and would get better in 6 weeks. Since then I've monitored the pain and despite being daily, its also cyclical so I'm not convinced now by doctors diagnosis and also pain isn't improving =(
Im honestly on your side! Its downright disgusting what they do to people who are clearly struggling! Ive had it all myself .. eh for 13 years i had 'IBS'! .. But ive just learnt along the way that the best way to deal with it is to get your Dr on side. Butting heads with Drs gets nowhere! Unfortunately they hold the 'key' and some of the beebs get off on that power! Im just offering a bit of advice so that you get sorted! And i honestly hope you do!
Thanks! I guess im just frustrated with the pain and tiredness at the moment. Ive been determined not to let effect my life but feel like I'm failing at the moment. Managing work is tough, I've stopped exercising and running due to the pain so just frustrated!
I know im in same boat myself although im under hospital care. Ive just started my second course of zoladex cuz surgery failed. Theyve more or less said they wont operate again anytime soon cuz i was more than a mess last time. So i do really understand where youre coming from! But honestly go to drs, dont beg, dont get angry just sit and be sincere. Get your Dr on side. If that doesnt work, try another GP. After my surgery i had terrible bowel issues and i did what id adviced up there, tried, kept going back ect, calm, and i was put through as urgency to a colorectal surgeon and from start to finish was about a month! It was a pain, but it worked! And because ive butted no heads ive got all my Drs backings and im at a new surgery! Dont get me wrong, i sometimes want to buttheads and go mad, but believe me, it just doesnt work!
