Not sure whether I am writing for advice or just to vent.....
Had laparotomy and laparoscopy in september '16 for endo (trapped in c-section scar) and adhesions. Was told that i should now be pain free. Fast forward 2 months and pain is back, in exactly same place, almost as if nothing was touched. 8 months later, am back in constant pain and am so gutted. I called my GP for referral back to consultant, amd GP advised that looking at my notes, they only removed adhesions in op, no endo? I'm sure he was wrong and reading wrong set of notes (i have had many laps) but he then followed it up with; 'let's hope the consultant is in a better mood than me today, or you may get a pretty cold reception.' Obviously I nearly lost my sh#t, but I managed to keep it together until putting the phone down, where I threw a few choice words about!
Jokes aside, I have been ttc for 6 years. I feel like my time is running out and I am not getting any answers. The consultants do not seem to take me seriously and more often than not twll em to take paracetamol. I can't sleep through pain, and am trying to hold down a full time job, look after 2 children and not moan too much to my huaband because he get's frustrated listening to me. I don't know what to ask for next. It took me 3 years of constant back and forth to finally get an MRI scan to diagnose endo. Can I insist that I have one this time? It also took 2 years for me to have my operation. I don't think I can wait that long.
