Hey love! I've looked into it and haven't hard core jumped on that band wagon. But I have noticed that omitting or lowering my intake of certain foods on the 'no-no' section of the endo diet has helped. Caffeine, wheat, and soy seem to be the biggest pain triggers for me personally.

Maybe ask your GYN about starting the endo diet as an alternative form of treatment?

Hi there,

I have had laproscopy and cystoscopy, I tried any and every medication available to help me with Endo and on going bladder and kidney infections to a point where my GP said my body was at risk of being poisened as I had that much medications in me. He would not prescibe me any more medications.

One night in desperation, whilst crying, I randomly googled my sypmtoms and pain relief methods, the magic word appeared on screen: MAYAN ABDOMINAL MASSAGE!!

To cut the story short, I found a therapist near me and had this specific massage to heal me by repositioning my uterous which was tilted. With this I strictly went on meat, yeast, caffiene, sugar, dairy, soya and yeast FREE diet and took herbal tinctures only to help my digestion and support my liver. I also applied castor oil packs to soften the adhesions so that reduced the intensity of the pain I was experiencing.

Within three months I felt like I was a changed woman! Whilst the endometrioses had not been cured but I was almost pain free. I not only lost weight, my skin, hair and nails became very healthy and I had people asking me what magic pill I was taking to look so healthy and they could not believe it when I said I was taking NO PILLS or pain killers at all!

And the biggest blessing we have had after making this life style change is our beautiful baby. This is after doctors and consultant kept telling us that I may not be able to conceive at all!

I had cravings during pregnancy so I ate what I had to but I know that my pains have imcreased because of poor diet and lack of self care via massage etc.

Healthy diet absolutely WORKS!! In my experience its better than taking pain killers which mask the symptoms, changing your diet for me is the ultimate solution to feel healthy.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

Healing energy to us all!

I stopped gluten, soy, sugar, alcohol, caffeine, nightshade vegetables and dairy (some of these were also for suspected food allergies), over a month ago and have gone from having tramadol and mefenamic acid in 3 hour intervals, as well as a host of other heavy duty drugs, to no drugs at all, for the last two weeks and no pain killers for the last month. I still have occasional flare ups and I have bladder problems which are separate to the endo but it's like having my life back! People keep commenting that I look like I'm glowing, I have so much more energy and I've lost weight too. When people ask me if I miss all the things I can't eat I say, sometimes but it's more than worth it!

Even if you just knock gluten, soy and sugar on the head, I reckon you'll notice and feel the difference. One of my friends just stopped gluten and said she noticed a dramatic reduction in her pain levels... Within days.... There's no guarantees but it's got to be worth a try right?

But remember, no cheating cause you're only cheating yourself 😉😘

I was dairy and gluten free for a year prior to diagnosis because I had been told I had IBS. Sadly over the course of that year my pain got worse and when I went back to eating normally I found it made no difference. I didn't lose any weight either. It might help but it's not a magic bullet and research evidence is limited.
