Marina Coil

Hi all,

I am having the Marina Coil fitted this Friday. Hopefully this will help ease the pains? I have been told it hurt when inserting it and also you put on loads of weight? Can anyone give me advice on this.

Hi

Insertion can be uncomfortable but only for a few minutes. Take some painkillers an hour before and relax as much as possible during insertion. You may experience cramping for a few hours afterwards. I never put on weight and I've had 3 x

I agree, it was uncomfortable getting it put in but not too bad and it only took a few minutes. I had a mirena in for four years and didn't put on any weight but everyone is different. x
