Abdominal wall endo/scar endo

Anyone else have this? Would like to speak to someone going through the same things as me and to hear your experience and treatment?

Hi,

I have endometrioma on my c scar. In the last 6 years I have had 2 C sections (emergency). There was a hard area at one end where I had a drain from the last surgery. I had a merina coil fitted after the birth but over the years this lump grew. I thought it was an abscess and dr put on various antibiotics. Eventually had an ultrasound that was confirmed that it was endometrial mass. It flares up and it's like a hot poker twisting in the scar. Gyno dr is getting me booked in for an MRI and surgery to remove. Xx

Can I ask where about you Live? Im struggling to find a doctor who knows about this. General surgeon that performed my surgery has discharged me and im under a gyno but he is really old and has dismissed that this hs been caused by the c section even though i have never had a history of endo before? He has booked me in for an internal scan and mentioned a lap but I think this is going to be pointless as A that is not where the endo is and B it doesnt always show up on ultrasound anyway?! Frustrating x

I'm based in Kent, SEast. I was very lucky with my scan and Drs. Ask for a second opinion. It's important you get the right treatment. The Gyno de said it has to come out or it will continue to grow. This is with a Merina coil controlling my cycle. God knows what would happen if I had normal periods xx
