So I am currently 6 days late, I had "period symptoms" earlier in the week but no period. And now the cramping etc has gone so I did a test but it cam back negative. What else could be going on? What do I do now?
Feeling absolutely devastated.

Hi Shauni can I ask how old you are and how long you have been trying for a baby? How soon after your period due did you test? if period doesn,t come next month test again and in the meantime ask your g.p to feel your tummy-- when I had my first child I was 14 weeks before I got a positive reading it was obvious by then I was pregnant! Come back and let us know..
Oh i didn't know that was possible!
I'm 24 and this was the first month we tried - so I wasn't expecting anything since I've been told it'll be tough. But when my period didn't show up, and I've always been like clockwork,i thought we'd just got extremely lucky!
I tested today - 6 days after period was due to start. We've decided to give it a week and test again if I still have no period and then I guess I'll have to see my GP.
I had no idea how tough it would be emotionally,i honestly don't know how other ladies cope!
We girlys get very anxious about getting pregnant as do the boys about proving they can make a baby too! This element of stress can make conception hard.. So as not to be constantly "doing it" and not enjoying "it" there is a testing kit you can buy which will tell you when you are ovulating at your peak! There is good advise on asking your partner to let you know when "the moment" is happening so that you can completely relax and allow the "sperm" to travel where it wants to go and not get "trapped en route" by us girls tensing... Hope you don,t mind me saying this to you I,m sure you both know the bird and bees, some girls conceive easily some don,t.. Good Luck to you both, enjoy trying!!
Thank you for your advice!
I had looked into the ovulation kits but hadn't got around to getting one this month. My husband and I were pretty prepared for it taking a long time to get pregnant (at least I thought I was prepared!)
That's why I was so shocked - I thought there's no way I would have that sort of luck and I'm trying to stay realistic as i have had a negative result.
Definitely trying to enjoy every moment as I know life will never be the same once a baby is in the mix!
