My endo has stopped being so painful since April so I have been discharged from my gyno, and am now concentrating on trying for baby, how long did it take everyone to get pregnant. Thanks xx

Hi Gemma, I can't answer your question as I am also trying for a baby after having a laparoscopy in April. Just wanted to say I am here if you wanted a chat xx

Thank you! I haven't needed any surgery yet, but I've never tried before I'm just worried it's going to take years 😥Xxx

I Feel the same but try not to worry. Some ladies fall pregnant straight away and some it takes a bit longer, everyone is different.

People keep saying to me "relax and it will happen" which I know is probably true but I am struggling to relax at the moment as its all I can think about.

I have found it helpful to chat to ladies on here and also on trying to conceive forums as it helps me chatting to others who are going through similar and know how you feel xx

I am also trying for a baby and have been since the end of January. Not had any success yet and have found it quite stressful. My new approach is to dtd every 2 days. Hope you catch on soon xx

That's the best thing to do. Do you track your ovulation? I've been using ovulation tests and tracking my temperature but if we don't get lucky this month, I am going to stop tracking next month and try and go with the flow xx

I tracked and recorded ovulation with sticks and used pre-seed. I ended up torturing myself. I have stopped tracking last month and I am going out drinking on Saturday. I know some will say that is irresponsible, but I feel my life has been on hold. Xxx

I know what you mean. I barely drank when we started trying and drinking was also making my endo pains worse but I've started having a few drinks now here and there. My cycles have been a bit up and down since my lap so I'm going to track my ovulation this month to make sure they are back to normal and then stop after that. Xx

I can't answer your question, but I too am TTC now. I had an operative laparoscopy two weeks ago and had a large endometrioma and endometriosis removed. My consultant has given me 6 months to conceive before doing further tests. I believe your chances of naturally conceiving can be improved in the 6 months following an op.

My approach is to try and stay relaxed about things (but I can't promise I will remain that way if 5 months go by with no results) and see what happens. I am working with one and a partial ovary now so am waiting for my first cycle to see if things appear to be normal. I do experience Mittelschmerz, so am hoping I still feel that rather comforting pop every month (hoping the right ovary picks up the slack if necessary).

I too would love to hear some success stories : )

xx

I started trying to conceive two months after I had my laparoscopy and three months after that I was pregnant. I never did any ovulation tests, I kind of just went with the flow, but I did use acupuncture to try to get pregnant and I felt that really helped. Even just to make me feel that I am doing something helpful was good. About two years after I gave birth my endometriosis had come back and I was scheduled for a second laparoscopy. In the meantime, we were trying to get pregnant (again with the help of acupuncture) and I got pregnant before I was planned to have my laparoscopy. The second time it only took us three months of trying again.

My boys are now aged 7 and 10 and the endometriosis is back in full force, so I am having full excision and a hysterectomy soon, but I consider myself a success story as I have two beautiful children.

I had a lap with removal if cyst from my ovary and endo in November. It took me ages to recover and the pain started to return so I was referred for a scan. My scan showed that I had another cyst in my ovary and that both ovaries seemed to be stuck together and stuck to my bowel. I was referred back to my bgse centre for more surgery. Felt gutted and convinced I would never concieve... One week later and my period was late so I took a hpt and I'm pregnant! Only 6 weeks so early days but I'm keeping everything crossed that it all turns out fine! I hope that gives some hope - it can happen! It's taken us 3 years and one op but it finally happened :) X
