Hi everyone I don't post that often but find so much support from this site. I have just been prescribed Gabapentin. Has anyone any experience of this?

I've been on gabapentin for about 2 weeks now. It has lessened the pain but not by a lot. I've had no side effects and the doctors say I can take codiene etc alongside it. just wish it worked a but better! hope it works for you. x

Hi there. I started taking it yesterday and am increasing the dose over the first 3 days. I have to say that although it alarmed me for the first few hours (I felt stoned🙃) at least I stopped caring about the pain!! By last night the pain was better than its been in months. Since I started prostap I have entire body joint and muscle pain 24/7 as well as severe endo (stage 4) pain in my pelvis snd bladder. The body pain completely went last night and the endo pain lessened. Today's been the same. My only concern is that I run my own business and have to be razor sharpe at work and travel a lot. If the "dazed" feeling that I get about 2 hours after taking it doesn't go that'll he a big problem, but my GP says it may stop making me dazed once my body is used to it. Just one night with hardly any pain made so much difference to me. I was so damned happy! I'm really hoping it'll keep taking the pain away (relatively speaking) and that the spaced out stuff goes. Having another op in a couple of months and need help to get through till then. If I was you I'd give it a go. It's the most hopeful thing ice tried so far. Very best of luck🙂
