Hi,
I just looked back over your posts and i see you have had a tough time of it.
So ive been reading about this it appears to be one of the safest and best ways to do it with a good recovery time.
I would suggest keeping your cervix if you can,as this will help support your other organs the bowel and bladder.
You will be less likely to have a prolapse of these organs in the future.
Make sure if you go ahead, you get them to excise any endo that may have popped up again.
Are you trying to keep ovaries at the moment?
Kind regards
Rose

I have been really bad for a couple of years and then when you think its almost at its worst its not and the last few weeks have been by anybodys definition just vile ,had a good 2 weeks so far but i am seeing a gyne in a few weeks and my gp has told them i am against a hysterectomy but saying that i am getting now close to the point i need it due to blood loss and i mean blood loss and really bad clots and pain that is no different to having a baby.i am on for at least 3 and half weeks a month all the time,I am due to have another iron infusion 3rd in less then a year,i also have a fear of being put to sleep although i have been at least 5 times i dont want it unless theres no option,i was the first in a hosp to have an ablation awake which for me was great and very happy they allowed and were willing to do it,read up on allsorts of options and i saw that one which of course would solve the horrific bleeding and it can be done while awake.i want the least done(taken away),if and when i need it,but so wanted to know from someones personal experience,i have endo (over 25 years and fibroids).
Hi I had that done when I was 29 (I'm now 37) unbeknown to me they removed my cervix at the same time I only became aware of that when I received a letter from the hospital 2 years later!! My recovery from the surgery itself took 12 weeks. But as the other lady said its best to try and retain the cervix if you can, last year I had to have an anterior and posterior prolapse repair with sacro spinous fixation as everything fell in on itself. I'm now waiting for further surgery for endo removal and bowel resection. From the point of view of relief from the bleeding then it was the best thing I had done.
