Cyst and endometriosis

Hi, my GP has found a cyst a couple of inches above my c-section scar and while I was there I mentioned how with every month my period pain gets worse. I can barely stand up from the couch and I walk like I am heavily pregnant. I feel a burning sensations on my left side and also like my muscles are being pulled. She said it's most likely mild endometriosis. I'm still trying to get my head round this but does this sound familiar? And could the cyst and endo be related? Thank you!
