Stitches inside vagina / post op sex?

I had my second operation in 8 months on 18 March. The op lasted 6hrs and was mainly to removed endo from my bowel. When o came out the consultant told me I had endo everywhere except my right ovary. Anyway to get to the point, he informed me I now have stitches inside my vagina from where the had to cut endometriosis out. I have been told not to have sex for 6 weeks.

Has anyone been in this position? If so how long did you wait until having sex? I'm keen to get back to it as me and my husband have been trying to conceive 3yrs now!

Hi I had a lap last year where it was discovered I had a tear in my vagina(from a previous smear test 9 months earlier). I had been bleeding continuously. So had stitches there. They say six weeks so there is enough time for it heal properly. I think I left it a couple more weeks . Good luck with ttc. Hopefully now you've had the endo removed you should fall pregnant without any trouble. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
