Hi, can anyone tell me, will I feel different straight after zolodez, or get any side effects or do the symtoms/side effects come on later??

Hi I was given zoladex last year after I had a cyst removed from my left ovary . It was fabulous for me . I used to have crippling pain 7 days on a monthly basis (10). After zoladex I was pain free for 8 months . I felt amazing . I had flushes but that was better than pain ! And some insomnia and some joint pain . I joined a gym and did the weights twice weekly and that seemed to sort out the joint pains . It worked for me but once it wore of it was back to square one ! A few months later 2 cysts were found and the pains returned ! I am waiting fir hysterectomy and they are taking both ovaries as they said if they remain they will just give me the crippling monthly pain . I hope this answer helps and hope you get treated and start to feel better very soon X

Thanks fir the reply, I've actually had a hysterectomy for my Adenomyosis in July last year they left my overies in, I'm now on zolodez to see if I should have them out, and I'm having another lap to remove any endo still there, xx

Watching this feed with interest as I had my first injection yesterday. I'm hoping the side effects are manageable and it doesn't affect me too much. Good luck with your treatment xx

Hi ladies I've just had my 4th zoladex injection this week and have further 2 left. I didn't really feel any side effects until 2 weeks in, i had a bleed one week after my first injection and not had one since. 2 weeks in became ratty and short tempered and still am 3 weeks in i started with hot flushes and trouble sleeping and very painful hip joints. As time has gone on the flushes are still there i remember at thier peak counting 11 while at work one day now i get 2-3 a day, the sleeping is getting better too so whether my body is adjusting i don't know, only another 12 weeks and i would have finished them and they should be working thier way out my system and hopefully back to my old self minus the pain ! Good luck x

I'm on zoladex now and I had two injections going for 3rd Monday. At first I was so afraid to take it but now I'm so pleased with results! I had no serious side effect- few hot flashes and one sleepless night that's it. But everyone is different so it's hard to say how you'll react. But from my experience I can highly recommend it. I had my laparoscopy last week for Endometriosis stage 4 and Adenomyosis also has been found :((

I will be on zoladex for 6 months all together, hopefully I get bette soon. At this moment still sore recovering after my operation...

Hi there! Straight away after my injection (I would say about 5 days), I got horrible cramps and then unexpected bleeding. Then the hot flashes and mood swings came along. My mood swings are actually making me extremely anxious and depressed. Hopefully this doesn't happen to you!

Also, the injection feels really weird and will likely bruise up your tummy when you get it. Try to close your eyes for the injection if you can because it's long and slow and kinda huge :/ Best of luck!

xx

I had my first zoladex last Friday. So far feel so much better. Pain is much more bearable. I am also taking livial. I woke up yesterday wet through and had a couple of hot spells yesterday evening but other than that I'm ok. I did have a headache but that's gone now. The nurse sprayed my tummy before the injection and I didn't feel it. That could be because I had a c section and I have lost some feeling in my tummy. Good luck x x
