Hello, I had my first lap nearly two weeks ago now where they found and removed endo. I am still experiencing rather a lot of tummy and lower back pain. My tummy pain is below my belly button and when I sit up and move it feels like it's opening up internally (sorry it's really hard to describe). I have three incisions, one in my belly button, one the left hand side of my tummy and one on my lower tummy just above my pelvis. I'm just a bit concerned I'm still in so much pain. I'm due to start back at work Monday (I work 14 hr days) and am concerned with how I will cope with the pain plus the tiredness I've been having. It's the pain normal nearly two weeks later? thank you in advance for your help 😊
Tummy pain post lap. : Hello, I had my... - Endometriosis UK
Tummy pain post lap.
I had my first lap a month ago & am still not back to work. No way I could be with this pain & nausea. I'd get a sick note for another 2 wks? Good luck
I think everyone's different but I had my lap on 20th November and didn't return to work until after the Christmas break on 2nd Jan. I was so tired and had pulling and tearing feelings / sensations in my stomach and back for ages. Sorry that doesn't seem very helpful but don't rush yourself. Take care of yourself and make sure you're better before trying to do too much xxx
I had my lap at the end of October and felt nothing had changed until mid January. Now I'm hardly in any pain (last year I couldn't get out of bed) let your body heal. The incision sites hurt for a long time and still now I feel some sensation from them. I went back to work 2 weeks after the lap and should have stayed off for another 2 I was a mess but went back on reduced hours.
Hi, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I had my Fallopian tube out by lap six months ago and still get pain, especially around my period. The pain from the actual surgery I would say takes a couple of months to get over, even though they will tell you a couple of weeks.
