I have had my gynae appointment and been given a 4 week course of Synarel nasal spray alongside an HRT pill, Elleste Solo. I have bled the whole time I have been taking the nasal spray and since the four weeks were up (3 days ago) I have heavy bleeding and horrible period pains, I had no other symptoms at all during the course and quite honestly don't see what the point of it was. I go back to my consultant on March 14th and he has written to my GP and told them at that point I will go on the list for a total hysterectomy. I am 49 in May so I don't see any reason not to go ahead.
Everything takes soooooo long.

Is this being offered for endometriosis symtoms, a hysterectomy is not a cure for endo, you must make sure all your endo is thoroughly excised by a specialist first as this would probably be your best bet, I had a hysterectomy in July for Adenomyosis and have endometriosis too, I beleave that my endo hasn't been dealt with properly as I'm still in daily pain,
So please be aware that this might not help your situation, are you under a BSGE centre?
Hi, thanks for all the replies. I am under general gynae however my consultants specialism is endometriosis. The hysterectomy is to help with painful periods and when I have it done they will also deal with any new endometriosis that has recurred since my last lap 4 years ago. I also have some family history that would indicate a full hysterectomy would be advantageous.
