So my Lap was in October last year, I still haven't had my post op appointment. They told me it was a 10 week wait and so my appointment was for the 15/1/16 which was 11 weeks after my Lap.
I then received a letter to say that my appointment had been cancelled and changed to the 12/2/16 making the wait 15 weeks.
So I rang up my consultants secretary today and told her, that it was bang out of order that I was already expected to wait more than 10 weeks, that my symptoms had worsened, and they basically left me to my own devices after my operation with no help or anything.
My appointment is now next Tuesday.
Why does it take for me to kick off to actually be seen to /:

That's awful. I can't believe you have had to wait so long for your appointment. Have you not seen anyone since October to talk through what was seen and what was done at your lap and what treatment is to follow? I'm glad you've finally got your appointment sorted now but sorry you've had to wait so long for answers. x
I agree with you on that one! I have been on my period for two years, experience pain upon even insertion of tampons, urine incontinency and painful cramps and doctor said all these were normal. I sent them an email kicking off, basically, saying how can a 2 year period be normal? how can weeing yourself 4 times a day be normal when you're 21? They referred me to a specialist 2 weeks later and I booked a laparoscopy that day! Its crazy, sometimes you have to just go with your gut. You might feel like you're being a pain at the time but people don't realise this is our life and it is very important for us. Hope everything goes okay! Maria xx
I had the same experience was told I had stage 4 endo nothing more could be done. I phoned the consultants sec day after my op got a 4 month appointment. But i still had questions about the op and went to patient complaints. i got a 4 week appointment instead. It is sad but you need to complain and ask for what you need.
Nice one hon! They need a kick up the proverbial unfortunately so I’m glad you gave one! My last lap, I never had a post op because the surgeon really screwed up during surgery according to the next specialist I saw. He said the surgeon didn’t see me post op because he knew he had done more damage to me than help.
Great dr or what? They make me sick. Literally with that one!
