Just feeling really down today. I was diagnosed with endo in October but things haven't got any better since the lap op, if anything I feel as if they're getting worse. Sat at home alone tonight even though I should be out having fun at my work Christmas party 😔 was sick yesterday and have had awful pelvic pain and diarrhoea today. Just feel emotional and I'm fed up of being ill all the time. Does anyone else have nausea and vomiting as a symptom? Also, diarrhoea? It seems to be around the same time each month.
I have my follow up app with consultant on 29th Dec so hoping I'll get help/answers.
Has anyone been prescribed anything to control symptoms that's worked? Can't go back on pill because I'm trying to conceive
Any help or advice greatly appreciated!
Xx

I've had many of the same symptoms as you. I haven't found a suitable treatment yet, as my body reacts very poorly to hormonal treatments. I did find relief during my 2 pregnancies though, as symptoms all seemed to be in hibernation. Symptoms did return quickly after my children were born though. Well wishes on trying to conceive. X
Oh I'm so sorry, yes I did have awful nausea, diarrhea, and I felt worse after lap. My periods became very difficult, even more so.
Obviously those symptoms are a bit general and could have different causes in different people, so I cannot say in your situation.
What I can say is it turned out I have celiac. It was there before but worsened after the surgery. It took a long time to diagnose. I was fobbed off with antibiotics and other meds for a long time, which didn't help. When untreated, celiac makes periods and hormone regulation very difficult. I also have an autoimmune thyroid condition. There seems to be some link between these two and endo. Also the surgeon left some endo behind, so I got no pain relief and must get more surgery.
My periods were heavier for the three months following the lap. I don't know if this is possible but perhaps things are settling for you?
At any rate, please don't be hard on yourself. I know it's hard to miss plans, but the best the best thing you can do is be understanding towards yourself. If you are good to yourself, it will help with healing and decision-making.
