Little bit TMI but these things tend to be...

I'm having extreme pain when I have bowel movements... just before, during, and after I feel like my body is trying to birth my internal organs out of my back passage... I'm not even over-exaggerating. If you haven't read my previous posts, I'm not yet diagnosed. I was told many times when I was younger that I had IBS, and I'm sure I did when I was younger too, constantly either constipated or having horrible diarrhea... but in the last couple of years I haven't suffered with it if I'm honest, I am going to the toilet generally once or twice a day and I'm not struggling to go by any means.

My mom (who also has Endo) said to add more fiber to my diet, I wouldn't say my diet is low in fiber and I don't think I need to because as I said, I'm not having any trouble going... it's just agonizingly painful!!! I literally get all hot and sweaty, go pasty white, shakey and feel like I'm going to throw up from the pain every time I have to go. It completely knocks me off my feet and it is when (other than in sex or on my period) that the pain is at it's worst.

If any of you have any suggestions or help as to what I can do to manage this pain because it just comes on out of nowhere, so I can't pre-plan with pain killers and it's really difficult dealing with the random onslaught of pain when I have an 21 month old to care for....

I have this. Can completely relate. My boyfriend use to find me of the loo floor where I'd just collapse from the pain of going to the loo. Got so bad I tried to stop eating so much so I didn't have to go. When I had my op they found it all around my POD and rectal wall. Had a lot of it removed now so not in as much pain but still get the urgency and still feel like my womb is gunna pop out any minute.

I found it really hard to explain my symptoms so when I went to the doctors told them about my bowel etc so they thought I had IBS and sent me for a colonoscopy to check for crohns, which made sense from what I told them. I went through all the IBS tablets ever invented I think. it wasn't till I started researching endo and found out how other people describe their symptoms that I was able to explain to the doc. They agreed it was endo straight away and arranged for me to see a specialist. I was at the doctors every other week for four/five months before that though.

Keep at them. And if your not getting anywhere with them change doctors! It's not normal to throw up and pass out when you go to the loo!
