Help with symptoms please.....

Hi. I haven't posted before and need some help with my symptoms based on your experiences. I have had widespread, severe joint, nerve and soft tissue pain and inflammation for 7 months affecting mainly my neck, shoulders, wrists, elbows, knees (particularly back of knees), feet and pelvis. Then developed low back pain on my left side. Two weeks later had a few days of suffering hypoglycemic symptoms and extreme thirst, hotly followed by my period, which was the worst period and back pain I have ever experienced (and I have had three children!). My back actually felt broken for about three days. Period was normal, not heavy, although contained a small clot. After this back pain then lessened, but abdomen really swollen and tender and burping a lot. Difficulty eating much and feeling of constipation or a blockage. Glands under ears swelled and gave the most excruciating pain and pressure in my ears for three days. Went to gp. She couldn't find anything wrong and told me it was anxiety. Felt ill all month, esp round ovulation time, and then this monthly period similar symptoms, although pain not as bad. Also had pain in eyes, blurred vision and migraines. Does this sound like endometriosis?

I suffer similar symptoms I've not long been diagnosed (march) I'm 30 yrs old and I had zero symptoms until I got pregnant and had a miscarriage early this year. I have endometriomas/blood filled cysts. I've done a lot of research it makes no difference if you've had kids either it can grow inside your body for many years without pain (I would have thought they'd have seen SOMETHING in your baby scans) I'd push for further exploration. I'm 47yrs old and had my last baby 12 years ago. Can endo just start at any time in fertile years or does it always start when you are younger? I'm also bit worried that it could be ovarian cancer. Had stabbing pains in my gtoin last night and ivr also had a tendon or ligament pain in my groin going into my leg on my left side for a few months. I had an MRI scan last week for the back pain as I've been seen by a rheumatologist because of the joint pain. Rang today as hadnt heard anything to be told by his secretary that he hadnt looked at scan yet, but radiologist has stated nothing found.

Have you also considered fibromyalgia? The nerve joint and tissue pain makes me think of this. My mother in law has it and it sounds similar. It's diagnosed through a number of pressure points, you can find them online.

Yes, did wonder that, but isn't that diagnosed by a rheumy? Cos I have been seeing rheumy and had loads of tests done for lupus, Hughes, ra, etc and they were all normal. It was rheumy who mentioned endo to me. He thinks that the joints problems are more of a reactive arthritis that has reacticed to something going on in my body. At first he put it down to a viral reaction because nothing else was obvious, but then all these monthly and ovulation symptoms came about with this constant low back pain. He said sounded like endo, am hoping he might be able to refer me straight to a gynae instead of going back to gps. I think I've seen every gp at my surgery and theyve all been rubbish and make me feel like a timewaster and hypochondriac. All they say is its a virus, or depression or anxiety. I think I'd rather pay to see a gynae that go back to them again.
