Post lap peeing

Hi ladies, just wondering what helps go the toilet after a lap. I can pee but little trickles and have to keep getting up every hour. I thought maybe just dehydration causing it, so lots of water and maybe cranberry juice.

I think the anaesthetic sends your bladder to sleep. Taking Codeine does that too. I was back to normal after a day or so. I was worried after my laparoscopy that I couldn't pee. I drank 4 cups of tea and 2 jugs of water and still nothing! Then in the car on the way home from hospital my bladder decided to wake up!

Oh this is going to sound crazy, but when you are in the loo, try rocking backwards and forwards, they told me this when I was in complete retention after lap and it started to help! Don't try too hard also! Good luck, feel better soon xx
