I had a laparoscopy last week which diagnosed endometriosis they used helium beam to treat it , I also had an erosion on my cervix cauterised and the Mirena coil inserted. Iv been in constant pain since and it's now a week later. Is this normal ?? I feel pressure to say I'm feeling better but I'm not xx

Hi, I had a lap to treat my endo using Helica in May and I was off work for a full 2 weeks. I was still using tramadol for the whole of the first week and occasionally in week 2. It know what you mean about feeling like you have to tell people that you're fine and doing well; it's what people expect to hear.

You might feel better after another week, but you might need another two. Only you know how you feel but if you think its too uncomfortable check it out with the ward that you were discharged from or speak to your GP.

xx
