ENDO AND MENOPAUSE

JUST WANT TO ASK I HAVE ENDO IN THE BOWEL AND BLEED WHEN I GO FOR A POO, JUST WONDERING IF ONCE I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE MENOPAUSE WILL THAT BLEEDING STOP?TIA.

Sadly it is unlikely as if the endo is still there and has not been excised thoroughly then you still have endo and the symptoms that come with it.

Furthermore whilst oestrogen is believed to be a significant culprit fuelling endo there are also other mechanisms thought to play a role in endo. It's still such a relatively poorly understood and misunderstood disease. Complicated further in that even menopausal women continue to excrete some eostrogen which again can fuel endo.

If you are in the UK, your symptoms are unmanageable and you haven't been seen by or are not currently under the care of an endo specialist it's best to request a referral to a BSGE accredited endo centre. You can locate one on the following website:
