What to expect at my first consultation before a lap

I've just had a date for my consultation with the gyn just wondering what should I expect I'm awaiting to have my first laparocopy I'm I like to get a date ?? Xxxx

Hello lovely! In my experience I had a date for my first lap to be diagnosed fairly quickly (after a doctor finally took my concerns seriously...roughly 7 years haha) but that was just by regular gyne surgeon. During the lap it was found that I had severe recto-vaginal endo and that they would not try to remove it at that time as it required bowel and endo specialists. I was then referred to an endo specialist and eventually decided to have surgery to remove endo. During my first visit to regular gyne they just did an internal exam and asked me lots of questions about my symptoms. I assume lots of people have different experiences though!
