Hi there is no cure for adenomyosis, there are some hormonal treatments to help but no cure

The only 'cure' is a hysterectomy

What surgery did you just have?

Yes she said she has cleared all the endometriosis and adenomyosis. My operation went through for 2 hrs. She said she can't take any guarantee that it will not come back that's why she put me on zoladex for three months. Now I am having pain on my right side and when I touch It i feel numb. What does exactly this mean? Thanks

I don't know how adeno can be cleared?

I think you should call them you shouldn't have a numb feeling?

Adenomyosis is uterine endometriosis , go on internet has I dont know to much about this, it says it affects the uterine muscles, there is no cure for endometriosis has it is a deasease, but contraceptive pills can help, coils help some same has pill it will all be trial and error, good luck with appointment x

Adenomyosis is basically endo within the walls of the uterus (not the normal area where you bleed from). The only true cure is to remove the uterus (and possibly cervix, as it can be there as well as it is technically part of the uterus). Then you can say you no longer have adeno.

For most of us, we will always have endo, as most doctors and technology are not skilled enough to find the microscopic implants, or able to remove endo that has attached pieces parts of your body together. So it will just keep growing larger as time goes on.

The numbness could be your nerves growing back/healing. I had that very badly in my leg when I had a tumor removed. My leg felt numb in that area when I touched it, and the nerves will still tingle me every now and again now. At least I am slowly getting feeling back. :)
