Endometrosis and ivf

I am having my first IVF appointment in few weeks time.i had laproscopy fie endo few months back.

What to expect in first appointment and what all tests done.

Have family support it can be quite an intense road....first app....introduction to needles...be prepared.

if you have completed all your funding forms. They should show you how to use the injections - take a pad with you to write down incase. I was pertified of needles and very much a person who faints at anything and i managed it they are really small so dont worry and you get the hang of it really quickly.

I went to a private clinic (werent eligible for nhs) and they got us to do lots of tests thro GP before we got there for the initial consultation eg hormone levels at specific times of your cycle, sperm counts, hiv tests etc - have you done any of these yet? Then it was lots of forms, Welfare of the child, consent forms all done etc - have you had anything like that from the clinic?

Then onto drug regime which is more a pen than an injection its okay, and schedule of treatment.

Ovaries did get a bit uncomfortable with all the stimulation though. Then lots of scans to check progression of egg follicles before launching into IVF process.

Good luck, its a tough journey but worth it!
