laporoscopy....how long do you wait??

I am seeing a gyno for the first time tmoro. Had an US scan and I have one ovary that's 21cm big and the other normal but both with cysts inside. My GP thinks I have endo aswell. How long does it usually take for the gyno to get you in for a laporoscopy?? I am lucky I've been referred to a private hospital but via nhs and been told good things about them. X
