Hi ladies,

Just a quick question for you all.

I was wondering how many days your periods last?

Thanks in advance,

X

around 3-4 days and pretty light - complete opposite to everything I read about Endo. The pain makes up for the flow though! x

Hi Noguat, do u have an endo diagnosis?? Because i am going for my second gynae app this month and i have been thinking alot, that this is what i have because i have all the pain symptoms for the whole month every month but my bleeding has went from a 5-7 day cycle to just 3 days for the past 3 months, so it was making me think well maybe it isnt endo then xx

Yep, I had a lap to remove a 10cm cyst back in Oct and they diagnosed me as stage 4 with endometriosis that "obliterated" my pouch of douglas. Im having another lap in May to have the endo removed and drain a new 6cm cyst.

everything I've read, and that's a lot (Im sure you're the same!) says that long, heavy periods are typical but I can't be the only exception! :) xx

Yeh i keep reading up on everything i can find, even on the adeno sites aswell and i can relate to most of all the symptoms with pain and bowel problems but just not the bleeding side of it, and the gynae told me at my first app my symptoms "sound" like IBS and sent me home with medication for it telling me to come back in 4 months. Tried the meds but it does nothing for my pain xx

Stick at it. I am lucky To have such a brilliant GP who made sure everything was looked into, he even chased the hospital up after I got some blood results back and he thought my next appointment wasn't soon enough.

You know if something isn't right, don't let them give you the brush off.xx

Mine is only 2 days of actual flow but I have about 2-5 days spotting beforehand and then another 2-3 days afterwards. The cramps start about 10 days beforehand so even though its technically short its very painful.

Hi, I use to last 10-14 days it was horrendous. I had the ablation in 2008 and now only have a 2 day period. But the pain is still bad and getting worse right now. :-) x

Thanks all :)

Mine varies thats what I was asking.

Some months they vary from 7 to 10 days. Yeah I have clots too on every period, didn think it linked to endo though. Is that another symptom? x

At the moment mine are 10 days, I have 2/3 days still with pain but without bleeding before it starts again. It's driving my crazy!!

Hi. I generally bleed for 10-12 days a month. 4 days are my actual period but I have bleeding before and after too (less heavy). I had the Mirena coil put in 4 weeks ago and I've been bleeding lightly ever since. X
