Tired all the time

Does anyone else with endo get tired all the time even though they sleep 8 hours a day.

What causes this?

I feel so exhausted and lazy and it’s really getting to me as I’m normal full of energy. Also constant pain which has gotten worse this month and I’m in pain when it’s not my period

Hi I know the feeling, I think the constant pain drags you down! Seriously it’s grim! I had 12 hours the other night and still felt like I hadn’t been in bed x

Various suggestions given to me were that chronic pain causes it, chronic inflammation causes it or its your immune system being in overdrive.

Mine has done nothing but get worse since my first diagnostic 18 months ago and I have finally been referred to a chronic fatigue syndrome specialist team. I really don't know if I will make it back to work.

I had been ok up until recently when I just can not get out of bed, I get loads of sleep and then yawn all day long. If I laid my head down id be asleep in minutes x

I would love some advice on this also. It's so frustrating. Every 3-4 months I used feel so exhausted I couldn't walk/ move, splitting headache and intense nausea then I'd spend a day or two in bed then I'm fine. It then got worse and was happening pretty much every other week so had to go part time at work. Really hope it gets better now I've had a lot of endo removed!

I have a sneaking suspicion I'm intolerant to wheat and gluten 😭 I've already sacrificed so much, I love bread too much ...❤️

Best thing I ever did was cut out gluten/wheat, it has helped massively. I can only dream of freshly baked bread and butter now 🤣 x

I've already given up real butter and gone dairy free but bread is my biggest weakness... think I'm going to have to do it and go wheat and gluten free. If it makes as much difference as cutting out dairy it will be worth it - still makes me sad though ☹️ x

I know the feeling! Going gluten free is so hard for me especially as my parents don’t help buying chocolate etc xx

It must be tough living with people like that (especially when they're your parents!) but remember it won't be forever. You're moving forward and making positive changes in your life, it's their problem if they don't want to be part of it 💛

I need to quickly change my shopping order and delete all the bready goodness/ treats 😭 wheat and gluten free from now on 👊🏼💪🏼

Be careful though with gluten free products from supermarkets as the fat and sugar content is unbelievably high

Thank you, I'll make sure to check. They're so naughty filling them up with fat and sugar! Xx

Yeah I saw a gluten free pizza and it had 761cals in it and 30g of fat. I Put it straight back haha xx

OMG!! 😱 I'm all for cheat days but wow that's bad. I'll be checking everything now 👀 Xx

I know I've cut loads out too, I loved a latte but have been caffeine free for 3 months now.

I'm still waiting for a diagnostic lap but this is the best I've felt for sometime.

You never know it might not make a difference 😉

Its so hard isn't it 😭 Especially when you work in an office that always receives treats. I kinda hope it won't make a difference.... 😏

Oh yea I feel exhausted most of the time even if I sleep for 12 hours some days. I find it makes my pain worse when I not slept enough x

Normally I only get pain a week before and during my period. Now I’m getting pain all month and during ovulation too xx

I've been taking tumeric capsules for a few months now and I have less joint and muscle pain. I also take magnesium and a Grapseed extract or complex in the afternoon and evening. Sure you've tried other things but wanted to mention it.

It's hard but I avoid naughty things that bloat me such as white bread, cookies (ok so I had a weak moment earlier on), fast food etc. When I can I do a 10 minutes stretch after using my SAD lamp which sets me up for the day.

Tell me about it!! You have my empathy!

I regularly get 10 hours a night - it still doesn't feel like enough. My whole family like to joke about how I could sleep forever 😅

Might have to invest in some glasses with eyes on so I can just nap throughout the day without suspicion 👀

Hi, I feel your pain. I’m so tired all the time but it doesn’t help that I can’t sleep. I got to work on Monday and just cried as I was so tired. I wake up a few times in the night 😂. I’ve changed my diet and eat really well. Dairy, wheat and caffeine free. It’s hard but I don’t have as much pain or feel bloated. I ordered some books on endo. Recipes In to help with inflammation 👍🏻 and foods to help and avoid x

I can totally relate to this. I was diagnosed with endo in Sept. Only stage 1 but I suffer terribly with fatigue. All I want to do is sleep. I was a work yesterday and felt terrible zero energy everything was hard work literally didn't have the energy to talk or do anything. I feel like I'm 90 not 33 years old lol!! Wish there was a way to get rid of the fatigue xx

Yeah, I’m struggling atm as my best friend doesn’t understand and is mad I don’t want to go out tonight and watch football. But I’m in so much pain and my mum made me clean the whole house today with no energy and a achy feeling in my stomach like my period is due but it’s not xx
