Round 2! Cyst removal

Hi

I had my first lap in December and felt ok after about a week tho a little sore. About 3 weeks later the stitches dropped out and I was fairly back to normal but then at the end of jan my period was really painful again and the pain hasn't gone away since! Have been back to gynea and I have an 8cm cyst on my ovary which I am now having removed urgently next week, so going through the whole op again! Does anyone know about the risks on removing cysts in terms of your ovaries? Thanks

When I had a cyst removed from my ovary 3 years a go my ovary was fine they didn't have to remove it - I know in some cases they do have to remove your ovary
