I'm writing today because I'm needing to hugs thrown my way....it's now 23:45 and I've been up since 1am this morning in agony and somehow don't think I'll be getting any sleep tonight either, I feel like I've been in labour all day!! Having doubled and trebled my medication, had a hot bath and got my hot water bottle, I've even cried in front of my 14yr old son (who in his words said "this hospital need to sort my mam out"), I'm running out of options now, I rang my gp the only advice they gave me was to go to a&e which I new they'd say that I think I just rang hoping they would have a magic wand to help me!! big hugs and PMA'S requested pls ๐๐ฉ x

I know exactly what your going through. Every month I suffer and I'm in bed for two days with labour type pains. Makes me vomit and pas out with the pain.
Every month we nearly call an ambulance to a&e but then decided there is no point they won't do anything.
I'm waiting major surgery in June ๐ I have type 4. What pain killers are you taking???
I also have osteoarthritis so take regular painkillers everyday, paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine phosphate, I had a reaction years ago to tramadol so can't have that, my go said this is the only medication that he will give me!! Painkiller wise. I'm currently waiting to see another consultant for a second opinion as my first gynae cons said that the pains where in my head, I'll let you guess what my husband said to that, and that most women just have to deal with the pain, she did offer me a laparoscopy but said she wouldn't fix anything if anything was found and also ablation but in a letter to my gp which I got by mistake she said she didn't think that would work which she didn't tell me at all x
Hi I feel your pain and anxiety. I too had a bad day with my pain yesterday and increase the intake of meds. Ive suffered with endo for nearly 20 years and like you my son has witnessed it all and still is. Although I've a full hysterectomy 8 years ago I'm now about to uptake more surgery because it's around my bowel and bladder areas. I hope you have a better day today and I'm sending you big hugs. ๐
Thank you juileoc71, still in pain currently lying on sofa with my hotwater bottle and having my husband ring me every 20 mins as he's worried about all the medication I'm taking ๐ฃ x
To be honest my normal gp who is fantastic went on her adoption leave just before Xmas, she left instructions on my records for if I needed second opinion/medication etc but no other GPs in the practice seem to have took note of that, I'm hoping that she isn't off too long, I'm lucky or unlucky which ever way you look at it that I work in a GP surgery (not where I'm registered) and the GPs there usually give me some good advice, I'm also lucky that the awful deputy manager that we had had now left (thank god) so when I do ring in sick (like I have for last 2days) my new boss us very understanding, I normally try my best to go into work it's only if I can't control the pain or have passed out that I dont, which at the min seems to be every month x
Try asking when your GP will be back from adoption leave. You'll know where you stand then. At least things seem to be happening albeit slowly and not very well! Hopefully you can carry on with the process until she gets back but it seems you will have to be vigilant.
I'm glad you have an understanding boss. Hopefully they know the system well enough to know what you're up against and realise that you are doing your best to get something done. Good luck and I hope you're feeling better. x
It sounds to e like you're all in need of some devine intervention!!
Luckly I came prepared!!
I save this poem for people who are in need of comfort and support and you've all won the lottery on this one.
When angels sense you need them
And angels always do
They come unseen from everywhere
To help and comfort you
They hover close beside you
Till all your cares are gone
Till they can see you're ready
Once again to carry on
Then some of them fly away
And take their gentle touch
To other hearts that need the love
Of angels very much
But one at least stays with you
As your constant friend and guide
For guardian angels never leave you
They are always by your side!
Print the poem out and put it where you'll get the most comfort from it and if you know anyone who could also do with some devine intervention, give it to them, hopefully it'll help them too.
I hope you all get some help and ease from all your pain and suffering soon. I don't know if this helps, but when i was diagnosed with endo womb cancer and had to have full ab hysterectomy, i was given buscapan for my stomach cramps, I don't know what i'd have done without it!! My GP is definetly an earth bound angel.
Take care angels and lots of very gentle hugs and angel blessings to you all XXX000XXX
