Hi I'm new to this site but looking for some advice. I am 6 months post hysterectomy and my endo pain has returned, not as bad but still there....is this normal...?

Hi there, I'm pretty new to all this endo stuff, havnt been diagnosed yet, but I thought that a hysterectomy wasn't supposed to be a cure for endo only adenomyosis,

Did you have a hysterectomy purely for endo,

Sorry like I said I'm just finding things out myself atm, and obveos ly I'm not aware of you history??

Hi Linda, thank you for your reply and yes I'm happy to answer your questions.

I have had several laparoscopies, endo being found on my bowel and on the scar tissue from previous surgeries.

My surgerys were always done by a gynaecologist surgeon.

I had one ovary removed several years ago after a ovarian cyst was found then in October last year I had my uterus and other ovary removed.

I am on her just now, I'm taking 3 mg of oestrogen only tablets.

I'm 42 year old, started having a terrible time right from the start of my periods. I have suffered with heavy heavy bleeding, terrible pain being controlled at home by orator ph, taking trampoline regulary, lost my job and the Linda the list continues, having the hysterectomy was my consultant last ditch attempt at help,,

Hi Linda no I have no bloods taken since I went on the hrt, I was a little amount but quite hormonal so it was upped and that one gave me a constant headache so on a new one now and have been for 3 months nearly. I am still quite hormonal for about 2 days a month and have noticed my endo pain returning days here and there. Look forward to hearing from you tomorrow x
