I had a lap done in Sept this year an was diagnosed with stage 3 endo'...my bowel was stuck to my pelvic wall and so was my left ovary...also a chocky cyst removed from my right ovary.
Recovery wasn't too bad..and no more horrible loose bowls since..yay! .although my periods are still very painful which is a bit disappointing...but seem to only last for about 4 days now..hmm??! I still get alot of tummy troubles though-eating stodge milk-coffee or chocolate all though the things we 'love' don't digest right...especially when I'm due on (eurghh) practical live on 'Rennie'..I wonder if its all post op buisness or if bit of endo' still in the wings??
The microgynaen pill was recommended by gnae' to prevent a reoccurrance..
I've never been on the pill and terrified of the horrid swingy moods it can cause-as I already suffer in that way and have 'she devil' PMS...eeeeekkk!!! I suppose its trying to look ahead at the long term benefits of it and wondered if any of you ladies survived on it?
I'm 33 with no kiddie winkles yet..though I work with kids..but would like to have the choice near future...'lainyxxx
Hi there, I haven't had a lap yet, but think its on my bowel as I have incredible pain when going to toilet during or around my period I am on mycrogynon and have never had any trouble with it, I am currently doing 3 packets straight so I only get a period once every 3 months instead of every month and that is my saviour right now! x
It's nice to hear one positive thing about microgynon. I'm pleased you are coping well on it..as I've read alot of negative press regarding it which put me off..as I can't even deal with my own hormones much less ones from the pill! I guess not 'one size fits all' and we're affected differently so keeping an open mind is good. Its something I'm still considering, though @ the moment I'm taking agus cactus which I prefer as its holistic..but we'll see how it goes, as long as my sysmptoms don't progress.
