Had a lap on 18th Oct when more endo was found. My right ovary was stuck and has been removed (now giblet free !!) and my vagina was stuck to my bowe - yuk!!. Even though still sore from surgery and recovering slowly I feel heaps better than I did which is a huge improvement and long may it continue.

Hi Smiley, glad to hear your op went well. I suspect my ovary which is probably shrivelled as just in menopause is stuck to my bowel too as I have had lots of previous surgery for endo and adhesions.
Could you tell me what your symptoms where and if they are similar to mine prior to your successful op? I get this wierd right pelvic (deep rooted) pinching pain that makes me feel quite sick
and is worse first thing (early hours) of each morning and is slightly improved once I have visited the bathroom. I get pinching again right sided when I sit and seems worse when I eat. When I am upright or walking it is less painful but still noticable. My whole hip area aches and goes round to my lower back and down to my right knee. Can't bear tight waistbands. I have been searching for someone who has similar symptoms who eventually found out what the problem was. I did get diagnosed with Diverculitis Disease and small Hiatus Hernia so it is so so confusing. All I know is something really hurts it wakes me each day sometimes burning round belly button and right pelvic hip pinching. I had lap and hysterectomy a few years ago where fallopian tube stump (removed) had stuck to bowel and the other side ovary stuck to bowel so it is more than possible adhesions
have stuck it again. What are the symptoms of ovary stuck to bowel please, I can't remember
from last time as basically I was a glued up mess inside and adhesions where everywhere and in my stomach. Thanks
Hi Juleyanne yes I had similar symptoms to you in that I had deep rooted pain in my hip it felt like someone was drilling. I had problems sitting in one position for too long, or standing and seemed to spend most days lying down or sitting with my feet up, Also my stomach bloated out sometimes by the end of the day if I had not rested enough and clothes felt uncomfortable. I also had lower back pain (kidney area) which was the first symptom I had when I was first diagnosed with endo initially. I found it uncomfortable if I had to go to the toilet as I found I couldn't hold on very long otherwise I was in loads of pain both bowel and wee. My whole stomach abdomen area was very tender to touch even having a normal ultrasound scan left me in loads of pain. I also had the sensation sometimes of bleeding. I had had a TAH/LSO in 2006 and another lap in 2007 to remove more endo/adhesions and probably only had a few months when I had no symptoms to again getting the symptoms which were easily manageable at the beginning but after five years of living with it had had enough and went back to see what could be done. Everyone thought it had to be something other than endo/adhesions and even the consultant was reluctant to attribute it all down to endo. I know I am prone to suffer adhesions post surgery but I felt vindicated in a small way as I knew my own body and felt the symptoms had to be in part due to endo which was why I had another lap to find out one way or another.
I hope this helps in some way. If I can help in any other way just pm me.
Sx
I had similar symptoms, early morning pain in left side and soreness whole of abdomen, and then I bloated to about 7 months pregnant and started to get burning pain around belly button and was concerned about possible hernia so went to GP and was put on IBS regime, colpermin and fybrogel, but not convinced, think it could be endo probs still.
really happy for you that the surgery went well wishing you a speedy recovery xxx
